Happy, Happy Clay

Dave is picking up our next order from Niki of the bowls, plates and tumblers. We went all out this time with our order as you can see from the picture. I love this clay so much! A very nice, fun woman from Nashville bought plates to compliment her fine china for Thanksgiving. I love that she is mixing the clay with her china! What a way to spice up your table! Come by next week to see it!

Chattanooga Vandy Club on Friday Night

We've been fluffing the gallery and switching out additional artwork this week for an event tomorrow evening. Dave and I are excited to host the local chapter of the Vanderbilt Club. Susan Doubleday dropped off some new pieces including "Dryin' Time" (shown above) and a view of the Walnut St Bridge. I haven't photographed the bridge, but it is fabulous! We also have new small (see above) and large works from Georgia Nagle and monotype prints from Toby Penney. Stop by and check it out! See you soon!

Susan Doubleday - Pastels & Watercolors

Susan Doubleday brought in her pastels for our new show. She brought us 8 new pastel pieces. We're also very excited about the new watercolor and ink pieces she brought. Some are matted, some not...but all fun and contemporary! Prices for the watercolors range $60-100.

New Works from Katherine Tate

Katherine Tate brought her work in this week for the Summer Salon show. Yesterday, Dave and I hung it. I love the new works, which are both on canvas and framed under glass. The complete body of work looks absolutely amazing. Hope you get a chance to come by and see it!

Sweet Portrait

Yesterday, I received samples from the portrait artist, Steve Forster, we've added this summer. The piece shown here is of my daughter. He painted the piece from a photo of her taken on a trip last year. He captured her and her sweetness perfectly!

Sexy Summer Shoes

Local artist Jo Ann Bracey came and painted with me last week. According to her, she was inspired by my new dress series. Happily, she left these for me! Her new shoe paintings are all on 5X7 canvas board and framed. (They're $95 each...make a beautiful grouping!) Yesterday, I hung them right in the front so you see them as soon as you come through the door! I just couldn't wait for the official hanging of the Summer Salon show...they're too fun and sexy!
Update...These are all sold! Jo Ann is working on a new series of shoes and purses all have bugs! I can't wait to see them!!
