I love knowing where a piece we loved and selected for the gallery ends up! We shipped this 48" square piece by Melissa Payne Baker out last week on a long journey to Virginia. It arrived safely yesterday and the happy owner immediately hung it and texted us this pic. LOVE IT!!!
I decided to repaint the little side walls yesterday morning...do a little sprucing up for the Gallery Hop next weekend. Thought I'd knock it out before we opened....well, I forgot how busy labor day weekend is! Happily forgot! Before I had paint cans open, I had a client knocking on the door needing a birthday gift quickly. It didn't stop. I looked like a crazy lady in splattered paint clothes all day. But, we had a great time and met so many nice people including tourists from Minnesota, Alabama, Georgia, and Indiana folks who've just moved here. All around great day! I'm heading over now to get an early start on the wall painting. Stop by today if you have a chance...there are new paintings propped everywhere for the show we open next weekend. Its jumbly, messy and very comfy there but you can get first pick of the new work!Hanover Galleryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15439867831801414962noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7169878651426174299.post-81525951711256180202010-09-04T07:46:00.002-04:002010-09-22T09:01:46.251-04:00Kim Barrick - Still Life in Oils Workshop - October 2010
ONLY A COUPLE OF SPOTS LEFT!!!

It is Thursday through Saturday, Oct 7-9. Class will be from 9-4 (1 hour break for lunch) each day. We are holding a get-to-know-you social Thursday from 4-6 with wine and cheese for Kim and class participants.

This workshop is focused on still life in oils. If you've seen Kim's work, you know it is wonderful! Best of all she gives a lot of technical information. I've heard all great reviews on her teaching style too! She will do a short demo at least 2 days, critique on Satuday after lunch. Cost is $350.

(I'll be taking the class too...we'll learn a ton and have a blast!) This class is limited to 8 participants so call me to sign up 423.648.0533!
